The Dissolved Air Flotation Device operates continuously to effectively remove grease and suspended particles from wastewater.
Dissolved Air Flotation is a water treatment process that clarifies wastewaters by removing suspended matter such as oil or solids. The process involves dissolving air in the water under pressure and then releasing it at atmospheric pressure in a flotation tank basin.
The released air forms microbubbles that adhere to suspended matter, causing it to float to the surface where it can be removed by a skimming device.
1. Wastewater enters RT1 (coagulation reaction tank) and RT2 (flocculation reaction tank) from the equalization tank through the lift pump.
2. The wastewater coagulates with PAC and flocculates with PAM to form flocs.
3. The wastewater and dissolved water enter the reaction zone of the DAF tank where microbubbles and flocs mix and adhere.
4. The resulting solid particles (with density less than water) float to the surface and are scraped to the slag tank.
5. Clean water is collected and discharged (or sent to next process), with a portion recirculated to form dissolved water.
